  • December: Established Fuzhe Electronics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. as an invested subsidiary, formally began production and development of USB 3.0 and automotive connectors, and obtained TS 16949 certification; OCTEKCONN's electroplating plant was also established the same year

2009

  • November: The Securities and Futures Bureau approved the company's initial public offering of shares

2008

  • OCTEKCONN relocated to its Zhangpu, Kunshan factory Established OCTEKCONN Electronics (Kunshan) Co., Ltd. and merged it with OCTEKCONN Electronics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.
  • Obtained a patent for data transmission connectors

  • OCTEKCONN Suzhou implemented the Tiancin ERP system and an internal office intranet, computerizing management of the company's sales, inventory, production, and internal communications
  • OCTEKCONN Suzhou passed UL-body ISO 9000 quality certification
  • Significantly expanded machinery and production lines to increase capacity

2002

  • Established OCTEKCONN Electronics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. with a total investment of USD 4.2 million in Suzhou Industrial Park, providing fully integrated R&D and production from mold and tooling design and development, metal stamping, and injection molding to finished connector assembly

2001

  • Relocated to the Vision Technology Building in Sanchong, Taipei County, strengthening R&D capabilities to support planning and development of diversified products, such as connectors used in mobile phones, PDAs, and other 3C products
  • Implemented the Tiancin ERP system to computerize and digitize office operations, shortening workflows and strengthening performance control
  • Selected the Suzhou Singapore Industrial Park as the Greater Shanghai production base

2000

  • Participated in the Shanghai Global Connector Exhibition and decided to establish a production base in the Greater Shanghai region to meet customer demand

1999

  • August: Formally certified under the UL ISO 9001 and IECQ quality control systems

1998

  • Expanded production lines and received guidance from the Taiwan Electrical Testing Center for ISO 9002 certification

1997

  • To protect intellectual property, the company began placing greater emphasis on pre-development patent review, and worked with customers on certain product patent applications

1996

  • To meet customer requirements, the company relocated to Guangfu Road, Sanchong, to expand its factory and offices, and established an R&D center, beginning R&D and design work for customers including Twinhead, FIC, Inventec, Clevo, and Arima. The company also began taking on custom orders for special-specification connectors, helping customers successfully launch mass-production models in international markets

1995

  • Obtained IPEX distribution rights, formally entering the notebook computer market, and received orders from multiple computer companies including Twinhead, Quanta, Arima, Sunrex, Clevo, and FIC

1994

  • Established OCTEKCONN Precision Electronics Co., Ltd. in Taipei; initially an OEM for Molex/Foxconn, entering the notebook market under the "OCTEK" brand
  • Launched the "OCTEK" proprietary connector brand in the PC market, distributing Burndy's FPC/FFC/CIC connectors for use in notebook computers and video game consoles
